Ravel x V&A Museum Collab
There’s a lot to be said for finding good shoes…
Introducing Ravel’s collaboration with V&A, the world’s leading museum of art and design. Who have combined their talents to create Ravel’s new Spring / Summer shoe collection for 2017, which launched online this week at www.ravel.co.uk (you can check out the collection here).
Inspired by the 1970s, when Ravel was Carnaby Street’s main footwear destination. The new range consists of nine shoes featuring bright prints by Mary Yonge, who designed bright and bold fashion textile prints in the Seventies. Styles in the Ravel X V&A Museum SS17 collection include a heeled court, a block heeled sandal, a summer wedge and a structured flat.
To celebrate the launch of their collaboration with the V&A Musuem, Ravel very kindly gifted me a pair of my choice to style. I went for a beautifully crafted pair of nude court shoes, which have the iconic print inside the shoe. Which is a subtle nod to the 70’s and a style that not only delights on the foot, but also when it is taken off too; perfect for anyone who wants an Instagram ready shoe shelf.
If you tend to prefer minimal shoe styles (like myself) it is less daunting to mix and match a nude court shoe with items already existing in your wardrobe. However, I love how bright and fun the printed shoes in the collection are and kind of wish I had challenged myself to style a pair of those instead.
Comfortable, classic and stylish with a practical heel height. If you are looking for a new pair of court shoes, then these are just what you have been searching for!
