Is A Monochrome Holiday Wardrobe Boring?
If I have anything to do with it… NO!
If you have been following my style for a while, you may not be shocked to hear that 90% of my holiday wardrobe for Cyprus was monochrome: SHOCK, HORROR! I myself don’t find this boring. I mean, nothing screams chic like a black and white outfit. And no matter how I try to add more prints and colours to my wardrobe, 50% plus always sticks to these fail safe colours.
Styling Monochrome Outfits On Holiday
When I am on holiday, I like to add a bit more ‘bling’ to my outfts, especially when they are monochrome. So when I came across this divine beaded bag from TK Maxx for £20, it went straight into my basket. And I also jazzed up this simple look with the addition of some delicate gold bracelets, Earrings from H&M and this gorgeous minimal blue necklace from Wolf and Moon. I guess you could say my hotel wrist band was an unwanted accessory, which is why I tried to hide my hand whilst taking these shots myself outside our room next to our private pool at the Olympic Lagoon Resort in Paphos.
It’s ALL In The Details
If you want to make your monochrome outfit stand out on holiday, look to mix textures and focus on the finer details. The lace edging on these H&M shorts add a touch of sass and the off the shoulder detail from my £10 top enhances my tan and also lets my jewellery shine. Also try to add some footwear that will add another dimension to your look: I love these Chloe inspired sandals from Mango, which are now £25 and also available in nude!
