Jewellery: Completing An Outfit

Whether you are a lover of statement necklaces, or more subtle styles, jewellery really can make or break an outfit. Personally, I am a lover of minimal styles. But I do love the odd chunky choker for adding some edge to an outfit. So for something a little different today, I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite jewellery pieces of the moment, alongside my tips for accessorising outfits.

The Jewellery Set

One of the easiest ways to complete an outfit is by wearing a jewellery set. If you are new to adding jewellery pieces to your outfits, rather than being overwhelmed by the vast amount of choice you would be faced with if you walked into somewhere like Accessorise or Topshop’s jewellery section. Instead of buying multiple singular pieces, you can invest in a jewellery set instead. I am loving this gorgeous Metropolitan Disc Set from Buckley London, which includes a matching necklace, bracelet, ring and earrings. They also do a cute arrow jewellery set too.

The Statement Watch

An easy way to add some interest to your outfit is by wearing a statement watch. Think either a bold strap, patterned face or oversized time piece. Although I am a lover of my Daniel Wellington watches, I am currently obsessed with this marble faced beauty from Christian Paul, whose selection of watches you can shop from this widget.

Quality Over Quantity

Without sounding like a snob, I would definitely advocate quality over quantity when it comes to jewellery. Especially if you are looking to add permanent pieces to your jewellery collection. For example, you don’t want your bracelets, earrings and rings to rust when they get wet. Where possible, invest in real silver and gold, so you don’t end up having to throw your favourite piece of jewellery in the bin, as it has gone green over time.
