How A Mattress Changed My Sleep Patterns
I recently posted about my troubles with sleep deprivation and night terrors (you can read the post here) which have been majorly affecting the quality of my sleep over the past few months. I have over the past month given myself a 10pm curfew on week nights to be in bed and I stop looking at my phone or computer screen at least one hour before bedtime. These new habits have helped me to get a better nights sleep, but one thing that has been working miracles is my new foam mattress from Leesa.
TBH when Leesa got in touch to ask if I would like to test out one of their mattresses I literally did a little jump for joy. I have been wanting to test out a memory foam mattress for a loooong time and James and I just never got around to it, as we have been updating out house room by room, leaving the bedroom pretty untouched so far. The springs had gone in the foot of the bed of our old mattress which was over 6 years old and due a change. From the first night sleeping on our new Leesa mattress to a month later I can honestly say this firm but soft mattress has completely changed my sleeping patterns: I know am starting to get a good night’s sleep!
When you think about it, we spend a LOT of our time asleep (well most of us do) so having been blind sighted in the past a good mattress is definitely a big factor in the quality of your sleep.

Altered Sleeping Habits Include…
- Getting comfortable quicker and feeling as though I am melting into the Leesa mattress. This means that I have been falling asleep faster, rather than my usual routine of taking a good 30-60 minutes to get comfy and nod off. Thus, more hours of rest.
- I have also been waking up in the night less. I used to get up 2/3 times a night, go to the bathroom and then have to try and get myself in a comfortable sleeping position again.
- I actually want to go to bed earlier as I look forward to settling into the covers and getting snug on my Leesa mattress.
- From getting a better night’s sleep I have found that I have become more of a morning person. I have more energy upon waking up to take Brody for a walk and my productivity levels at work have risen, because I no longer feel lethargic.
