If I said you can feel less stressed after reading this post. Would you believe me?
As some of you will know, or may have noticed due to my change of name on social media. I recently got married abroad and can now say that I am proud to be Mrs. Buttrick. Even though I found planning a wedding at the Olympic Lagoon Paphos (where these photos were taken) with a wedding planner, to be somewhat less stressful than having to co-ordinate all suppliers separately in the UK. It still ran it’s toll on my body.
Combined with the pressure to look good on my big day, alongside the usual stresses and strains of working full time whilst blogging and running a household. Before we flew to Cyprus I can say that I was drained, overwhelmed and in need of a break. So much so, in fact, that I caught tonsillitis and pharyngitis whilst on holiday and was in the emergency doctors abroad the day before my wedding.
Whether you have a hectic lifestyle, school exams, a busy family or work schedule, or are planning something special. We all deal with stresses of modern life. Sometimes even on a daily basis. So, an email on the concept of Chinese medicine being the answer to health problems caused by stress. Got me highly intrigued as to finding out more on the subject.
Introducing the HAYO’U Method
The HAYO’U method is a self help programmme to help combat stress and the health problems it can cause. Based on the authentic Chinese techniques of Qi Gong and Tui Na, the method was created by Katie Brindle , who launched her website www.hayoumethod.com in May 2016 to offer free resources for everyone.
Stress Is The Modern Day Killer
I had a very insightful Skype session with Katie, where she talked me through the HAYO’U concept and her background in Chinese medicine. As well as busting the myths that Chinese medicine is only about acupuncture and drinking strange herbs and ailments. We went through my own health charts and the reasons behind my tinnitus, sleep problems and struggle to manage stress.
Labelling stress as a ‘modern day killer’ and the instigator behind many acute modern health problems. Katie has shared two free rituals to practice for just a few minutes each day, which can help to improve your overall health and well being.
Two Free Stress Busting Methods
Katie offers insight on two rituals that you should practice on a daily basis to help relieve stress and improve health, which includes:
A One Minute Morning Ritual
A One Minute Breathing Ritual
For more information on how to practice these methods and more, you can visit Katie’s HAYO’U website here.
Have you tried any Chinese medicine techniques?
*I was offered a free one-on-one consultation with Katie to diagnose my health problems and run me through her experience with Chinese medicine and the HAYO’U method. However, all words and views are my own.
