Did you know that you can raise money for your favourite charity whilst clothes shopping? Yes, really!

I was recently contacted to take part in easyfundraising.org.uk‘s #morethanagift Christmas campaign, which is a website I hadn’t actually heard of before. So, I was super excited to hear about the service and to share with you guys what new clothes I bought whilst raising money for my favourite charity.

If you haven’t heard of Easy Fundraising before, they are a free, nationwide service giving charities and good causes the opportunity to raise free donations when supporters shop online. With over 55,000 charities registered and over 2,700 registered retailers on the site – including the likes of John Lewis, ASOS and Next – you can raise money for your favourite charity when visiting retailers via your Easy Fundraising account. To date they have raised over £10 million for charities in the UK, which is absolutely amazing!

I signed up and chose to support GRWE – Greyhound Rescue West of England – as this is where we adopted Brody our lurcher cross wolfhound from, who is also the inspiration behind my blog name! I thought it was great that they support charities big and small. And for the charity you choose to support, you can see the total money raised so far through Easy Fundraising, as well as your contributions. With each purchase you make via the site, a small percentage of the sale will go to your chosen charity. For example, the shops I chose gave between 1.5-3.5% of each purchase to my chosen charity, which you can track back on your account or via email reminders. Here is a snippet from my online account below.

The retailers that I shopped from included ASOS, Missguided, Topshop and New Look. You can see what I bought below and to find out more about the retailers available, or to sign up and support your own charity, don’t forget to visit easyfundraising.org.uk.
