Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay: Is It Worth The Hype?

Gwen Stefani Urban Decay Makeup Collection Review

Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay: The Hype Is Real

When I heard that Gwen Stefani was collaborating with Urban Decay, I had a mini freak. I love Gwen Stefani, her signature style and have forever had ‘Don’t Speak’ on my favourites playlist.

And there is no denying that Gwen Stefani is one cool lady. That combined with the fact I am also a huge fan of Urban Decay products – which you may have gathered from my previous beauty posts.

So, I instantly knew that this collection would be 1: a must have and 2: a collectable. Which was further confirmed when trying out these lush products. That is why, in today’s post I am sharing an insight into the new product range with you…

Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay – The Lip Products

Gwen Stefani Lipsticks RRP £16

Of course, you can expect Gwen’s signature red lips to be prominent throughout the Gwen x Urban Decay collection, with hues from dark to light and matte or sheen options. With 6 shades available, you will find that ‘Firebird’ packs a purple punch and that there is a beautiful nude in the collection called ‘Ex-girlfriend’.

Gwen Stefani Lip Liners RRP £14

Available in 5 shades (same as the lipsticks, apart from ‘Spiderweb’), the lip liner ensures you can have a perfect pout on it’s own. Or accompanied by the lipstick. In fact. I love Ex Girlfriend on it’s own, as it is a matte liner, whereas the lipstick is a sheen effect. So, you have a number of choices if you get both.

Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay – Palettes

beauty blog best blushers review

There are three palette / products available from the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay collection. These are:

The Gwen Stefani blush palette RRP £35

Which contains beautiful pink hues and golden delights, so you can aptly use this pretty blusher palette for both contouring, highlight and blush.

The Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette RRP £40

Which is packed full of neutrals and earthy browns (in both matte and shimmer options), alongside some pops of colour with a fierce deep blue, purple and khaki shades.

Gwen Stefani Brow Box RRP £19.50

I would class the brow box as a palette, as it contains everything you need for perfect eyebrows in a cute mini box. Available in bathwater blonde (of course) this contains tweezers, brush applicators, a wax and two shades. I love the fact these are grey (more ashy) blonde toner, which works great for my brows.

Is Gwen Stefani X Urban Decay worth the hype?

In conclusion: yes!

To be fair, I could probably tell you this before trying it. Not only am I in love with the cool and edgy packaging, I also love the colour range and the quality / longevity of the products (the lip liner is pretty hard to budge btw) and the eye-shadow doesn’t wear off or leave the creases of your eyes looking sympathetic.

So there is a run down of the new Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay range, which you can shop below. Also, don’t forget to watch my video to see how they apply easily (either watching above or by clicking here).
