The new black & white trainer combination in my shoedrobe…
Gola Classics Bullet Suede Trainer
If you love classic trainer styles then it doesn’t get much better than these Gola Bullet trainers. Originally launched in 1976 their multi-purpose wear and style has not faded in the past fourty years.
Still going strong this retro trainer from the Gola Classics range looks great with casual wear and also with a statement suit, may I add. Excitingly it has been relaunched in new colour ways to get you AW17 ready.
I have fallen hook line and sinker for these timeless footwear classics from Gola. The Bullet Suede’s iconic Gola branding, which you will find on the side of the trainer and on the lip in gold, is perfectly balanced with the monochrome suede, leather and sole composition.
Other colour combinations of the Gola Classic Bullet on my radar include hot fuchsia & white and sun & white. You can view all colour combinations of Gola Bullet Suede Trainers here.
With autumn well and truly on it’s way I have been reassessing my footwear collection for the colder and wetter days ahead. I have packed up my mules and open toed shoes ready to go into the loft for storage. Whilst my newly arranged selection of boots and trainers stand proudly in my dressing room, ready for their line of duty in the coming months.

Styling Black Trainers For Autumn
Although white trainers tend to reign supreme for me in my summer wardrobe. When it comes around to autumn and winter I prefer a darker base shade for my shoes, simply for the fact that they are easier to keep looking clean and I tend to wear more darker hues in the colder seasons of the year.
Including today’s look of styling a midi dress, layered with knitwear to wear with my Gola Classic Bullet Trainers. Below are my four favourite ways to style black and monochrome trainers for autumn:
1. Styled with a head to toe black outfit that includes one pop of colour. This could be a red lip, colourful blazer or a statement accessory.
2. Nothing looks more retro and effortlessly cool than a suit paired with trainers. Try styling your black/monochrome trainers with a check print or red suit this autumn/winter.
3. Juxtapose your black trainers against a floral dress. Feminine and sporty vibes for the win!
4. Go basic and wear with your old faithful jeans and t-shirt combination. Add in a black leather jacket for tough, cool chick brownie points.
