Current Beauty Favourites – Winter 2018/2019
I am very fortunate to get to try a few newly released beauty products via some brands I either get invited to events by or I am on the PR sample list for. As well as fashion I am a fan of beauty/skincare and wellbeing, testing out new ways to look and feel good. I want to start sharing more of my current beauty favourites with you across my blog and also over on my YouTube channel, sharing the products I’ve been loving using and those that may have not done what they say on the tin. If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see, do let me know in the comments below.
To begin I thought I would start with a good old current beauty favourites. I have picked out my favourites skincare, haircare, makeup and fragrance of the moment to put together in a bite sized post: let’s begin shall we?

Current skincare favourite = Lumity Natural Anti Ageing Facial Oil*
I have been using this miracle oil for the past two weeks to test out its man power and already I can see and feel a visible difference in my skin. I actually was even complimented that my skin looked clearer and had more of a glow to it 🙂
I started using this product on the back of a bad skin breakout and was worried that a facial oil may be too heavy on my skin. I shouldn’t have been worried about this as this natural anti Ageing Facial Oil by Lumity is lightweight and does not clog my pores of make my face feel greasy. Instead it makes my skin feel replenished, revived and silky smooth. I adore this product and will continue to use an oil in my daily skincare regime. For more information on the product see below:

Current Beauty Tech Favourite – Clarisonic Mia Prima 2*
I have to admit I am a bit behind when it comes to beauty tech and gadgets. I don’t currently have many in my routine, except for this little bundle of joy: The Clarisonic Mia Prima 2. In just 60 seconds this nifty brush helps to remove more makeup and direct than cleansing alone. It is also super gentle that it feels soft and gentle on my skin. I also love the lather that it creates when I apply a foam or liquid cleanser. This would make the perfect Christmas gift for any beauty lovers out there 🙂

Perfect Party Lift via Dr Nicole Chiang at The Lumiere Clinic, Manchester*
I was kindly invited to The Lumiere Clinic to see the talented Dr. Nicole Chiang for their Party Lift treatment, which involves combining the use of anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers to achieve a natural, healthy-looking lift. I had my the botox between my eyes topped up and a small amount of fillers on my cheekbones and my chin. Followed by a facial peel. I Immediately saw a natural lift and refreshed look and if you look at the photos taken the day beforehand and the afterwards you may notice a slight difference. If you look closely on the left photo you will see I had a small noticeable bump on my chin. I had an accident in university that resulted in stitches in my chin and the impact caused damage to my chin bone, so I love how a small amount of subtle filler evens out my chin and makes my face feel more symmetrical as a whole.

Current makeup favourite – MAC Studio Fix Foundation & Prep + Prime Setting Spray
To easily glide over the top of my supple and soft skin after applying the Lumity Anti Ageing oil in the morning, I have been loving using MAC Studio Fix in the shade NC20. I bought this off ASOS a while back and it has been my daily foundation ever since. I love it’s finish and that it isn’t too matte and it isn’t too dewy.
To accompany my foundation and enhance its staying powder I’ve also been using the Prep + Prime fixing spray to set my makeup in place. This feels lightweight and non tacky. I used to love the Rimmel setting spray but paying a little extra definitely goes a long way.

Current Haircare Favourites – L’Oréal Products*
My favourite haircare brand at the moment has to be L’Oréal. I’m very lucky to be able to try their new professional products when they are released and have been using their blondifier gloss shampoo on repeat. It does exactly what it says on the label and make my hair super glossy, soft, supple and manageable.
A recent purchase that I bought in hopes of making my curls stay in place for my works Christmas party was this hair mouse that I picked up in Tesco on my lunch break. Offering non stop volume and 48 hours hold I can proudly confirm my curls lasted all night and the following day too! I’ve always shied away from mouse as I thought it’s a bit old fashioned but it 100% works and I won’t be prepping my hair for curls without it!

Current Favourite Fragrance – Jo Malone Cologne Intense*
I was kindly invited into the Jo Malone counter at Selfridges recently to test their fragrances and find my perfect scent. They are all about mixing two scents together so I went in to find my perfect pairing. My absolute favourite fragrance is their Myrrh and Tonka Bean intense cologne which has sweet yet earthy notes. To accompany this I also got the Oud and Bergamot to add a more rich and woody scent when mixed together = pure heaven.
