8 BEAUTY FINDS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

Boots Beauty Finds

Boots Beauty Finds

Welcome to today’s bumper beauty finds post! I love when I find the time to put together beauty related posts in addition to my fashion and style updates and it is something I wish I had more time to do. So, if you also enjoy reading my beauty posts, please let me know in the comments below so that I can try and get a mix of more posts for you all to read. But anyway, on to today’s post….

Boots have a new section on their website where they share their latest beauty finds, which are available to buy both online and in store. Encouraging everyone to “try it, love it,share it” with the hashtag #BEAUTYFINDS I was kindly sent a Boots beauty box* with the latest beauty finds that you can find on their site here, which I will also be running you through today on my first thoughts and impressions. So let’s begin!

Billion Dollar Brows Brow Brush £17

As I already use a brow brush in my daily routine, albeit a thicker and over used one, this new brow brush has become an upgrade in it’s place. I find that the smaller brush allows for a more natural application and that the mascara esq brush on the other side is better for grooming than the flat brushes you can often get on eyebrow pencil lids, like the Rimmel eyebrow one – you know what I mean. So, if you are looking for a more precise tool for drawing perfect brows then the Billion Dollar Brows Brush could be a good one for you to try.

WAH London Immerge The Lava Set £18

I CANNOT wait to try these funky nail varnish colours. At the moment I have gel on my nails, so I am unable to, but what you basically can do with WAH London’s set is layer them over one another for cool effects or merge them together for an ombre effect side by side. To show you what I am talking about, I have linked a blog post review and demos I found on the Naily Mail here.

Wet Brush Detangling Brush £11.99

I have a new found love for this brush sorry Tangle Teezer, as it has been working wonders on my hair after washing. Doing what it says on the tin really, this brush detangles wet hair whilst being gentle and causing minimal damage. We have all heard that you should avoid brusing hair when wet, so this sexy wet brush makes that possible. Which is great for people with unruly hair when wet, like myself!

Mr. Blanc Teeth Whitening Strips – 28 Strips £24.99

I have to admit that when it comes to teeth whitening, I can be a bit of a wimp. So, in actual fact I have not tried these Mr. Blanc teeth whitening strips yet, due to ‘the fear’ I guess. I may pluck up the courage to try these before I head out with the girls tonight, but if you have tried these strips yourself I would love to know your thoughts and any notes of encouragement in the comments section below or by tweeting me @CharlotteLewis_ Thank you!

WunderBrow 1-Step Brow Gel £19.95

Now this could be the revolutionary eyebrow product that I have been searching for. WunderBrow is a semi permanent eyebrow shade / filler that will last for a couple of days wear and is even waterproof! One of the things I hate most about having blonde, barely there brows (you can also read about my brow struggles in this post here) is that I like to run and work out most days, but there is nothing worse than coming home from a run or workout sesh to find half an eyebrow on your face: oh the shame! I found this forumla fairly easy to apply (after some practice) as I am always awful with brows and it did stand the workout test, which leaves me hopeful for having brows at our wedding abroad and honeymoon next year without the need for tattoos – YAY!

EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm Pomegranate Raspberry £6.50

I have been wanting to try one of these cute little lip balms for what seems like forever, after watching a few beauty gurus on YouTube raving about them. The shape makes this lip balm perfect for applying and also finding in your handbag, which I always struggle with due to the sea of items I seem to through in my everyday bag. I recently purchased the Lush lip scrub and this has been a lip save balm that I have been applying afterwards and before lipstick.

Hairburst – 1 Month Supply 60 Capsules £24.99

I have actually been using these Hairburst hair growth tablets for a month or so now, previous to received my Boots beauty box, so I was pleasantly pleased to find more to stock up on. I for one have hair that grows at a snails pace and I have tried tablets such as Perfectil and vitamins before with no result sadly (although, having said that I did find these useful for hair growth). From taking Hairburst for 30 days my roots do seem more prominent and I have also noticed that my nails have also gotten whiter and stronger, which is an added plus. So, fingers crossed with continued use I will have luscious locks for my wedding next year!

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Cream Skin 118ml £28

This ‘magical’ Egyptian skin cream is said to smooth and hydrate dry skin, soothe chapped lips, serve as a primer before applying make-up and can even be used as a hair mask! I am yet to try it’s wonders on my hair, but I have been testing it out under my make-up and what I can say is I have found that I get less dry lines from my concealer around my eyes, so I am excited to see what this ‘legendary’ cream can do, perhaps working it’s magic on my dry hands or flaking lips (damn the changing weather and indoor heating)!

So there you have 8 Boots beauty finds that you need to know about. If you do try any, don’t forget to tweet your thoughts with the hashtag #BEAUTYFINDS and as always, I have linked items in this post for you below.
